Choose your suffering

2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The good news is… 1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The word temptation here is the same as our word for trouble, you can see that God will not allow us to suffer (or be tempted) more than we are able. Since God won’t allow us to suffer more than we can cope with, we can choose to suffer for Christ and it will cancel some or all of the other suffering.

We will suffer whether we are in God’s will or not, so lets choose to suffer in God’s will instead of suffering for nothing. The suffering will not be more than we can handle either way. Suffer being fruitful or suffer for nothing, but suffer we will.

Let’s remember how good God is to give us all of the great times that he does give us! It would be reasonable for God to leave us to suffer in the results of our sin all of the time, but he doesn’t.

Those who are still not saved (or born again) suffer the worst because they don’t have God limiting the devil. How do you get saved; trust Christ!

John 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, Pr 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Lu 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; Ac 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
