Did God create evil?
The opponents of God often say that if God created everything then he must have created evil. These people often want to blame God for the evil in the world, rather than admit the truth…
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Too many Christians will answer, and say, that God created evil to give us an option, and now if we decide to love him it is because we wanted to, not because we were without choice. No; God did not create evil!!!
Evil is like darkness. Darkness is not a thing but rather just what is left when there is no light, similarly evil is what is left when we turn away from God.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Even Job thought that God did all of those things to him. We know from reading the scripture though, that it was the devil and not God that did it. God allowed but restrained the devil.
Evil is just the absence of God. The devil’s plan was to get us to turn away from God and then all that we would have left is darkness and evil.
Jesus gave us a wonderful gift. He made us able to take that light to anyone that we want. Wow!!!
Mt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Fearing Love’s Pain
The first level of pain in love comes when they don’t love you back. We can get over this suffering by rising to the level of loving by faith. In this case, just keep loving people and there will come a time when you are getting more love than you are giving. All through the Christian life it is wise to give what you would like to get. Others, others, others, not self is our creed.
Mt 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. In other words care more for others than self.
The second level of pain comes when the person that you love hurts you.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
2Co 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Ne 8:10b neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
As we see here God gives us the cure for this pain too.
The third level of pain isn’t curable as far as I know and that is when someone that you love hurts them self or gets hurt. I think that this may be God’s greatest pain because he let his son die to redeem us from it.
The devil wants us to draw back from real love because it really does hurt sometimes. Let’s mature and love as God asks us to anyway.

Offended
We don’t get offended unless it’s true (or we think it’s true) and we wish it wasn’t. If someone calls me stupid it doesn’t bother me if I don’t feel stupid. If someone says that I am just a man, it doesn’t bother me since I am happy to be a man. If someone says that I am pretty smart for a man I am happy to hear it but if someone says that you are pretty smart for a girl it often causes offense. If the girl thinks that women are smarter than men, then it would be a compliment. If she doesn’t think that women are smart then… Minority groups often struggle with this very problem. Be proud to be a Christian or black or native or whatever you are. God made you that way for a reason. He is proud of what you are, and you should be too. Only don’t be proud to be something that God didn’t make you, such as a sinner, just be glad for forgiveness.
The biggest cause of insecurity is insecurity. It is most often insecurity that causes us to feel offended. Bible lovers won’t feel insecure because they will feel so attached to God. When we feel insecure we act insecure and therefore are insecure. The victory comes when we see how, secure people act, and act that way. This makes us feel secure and then it is easier to act secure. I tell myself to grow up when I feel insecure and when I act grown up I no longer feel insecure, but I don’t want to tell you to grow up in case you get offended. ???
As a child when I would act insecure mom or dad would say “grow up”, this would cause me to act in a mature fashion and I would feel less insecure.
In any case there is no excuse to be offended. If I am offended then I don’t love the Bible enough. Ps 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. I added the bold and underline to emphases that nothing will offend if we love God's Word.

Christian Servants
A new Christian is dependant on others to teach, encourage, guide, help to integrate him into the body of Christ, and many other things.
An independent Christian is not one that doesn’t need to be a part of the body of Christ, but rather one that can keep himself or herself on track as a Christian. Most Christians never leave this level and become servants that lead others to Christ.
A dependable Christian is when you can be depended upon by others to stay on track, keep learning, and be there to help others even when they don’t know that they need it.
Three levels of Christianity that can be enjoyed. Let’s strive to be the dependable Christians, dependable to God and people. We should be leading the lost to Christ and then keep leading them to Christ for more of his love and truth.

Have you come to God?
Mt 7: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
As you see, doing things for God won’t get you there.
As you saw two blog entries ago you will find God if you really want to. People are often afraid to come to God because they don’t want to be judged. This is a real irony because God is only your judge if you don’t get saved. Jesus died on the cross to pay for sin so that we don’t have to, but some choose rather to stay where they already are, under the law. Being born again is being born into the family of God. Since no judge has to judge his own son or daughter this is a good place to be.
I don’t want to be judged by God and I am therefore glad to be a part of the family of God.

Your Pastor…Who God Chooses?
I Cor.:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Here we clearly see who God chooses.
I Thes 5: 12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly,
Maybe God has sent you to help, not discourage. Criticism only discourages, which leaves the leader struggling even more, and there by making it yet harder for him to do a good job and more likely to make a mistake. At least this way you will have something to be upset about!!! (Sorry about the sarcasm!!!)
Prov. 14: 6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
Your pastor already knows that he is deficient in many areas. He doesn’t need to be reminded or criticized, but rather helped.
Prov. 14:3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. 4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
People who won’t clean up after their ox don’t deserve to have one.
If God wanted to he could have ordained highly qualified men rather than the weak and foolish, but he didn’t because the weak are more likely to give God the credit. Read through I Cor. 1 thinking of who God wants to use.
